Join professional wildlife tracker and mountain lion researcher Phil Johnston for a day in the desert learning to read the stories of wild animals through tracking. Phil has over a decade of experience teaching tracking and is certified as Senior Tracker through Tracker Certification North America. Come learn to identify the track and sign of the many charismatic creatures who make their living in the Eastern Sierra. Location will be in the Bishop or Big Pine area. Exact meeting location will be emailed the Thursday before the workshop.This workshop is from 9am- 2:30pm. You will be on your feet for the entire time, often walking over uneven terrain. \u2022 Adult: $100
\u2022 Student \/ Wildlife or Environmental-Field Professional: $50
\u2022 Youth: $15 (must be accompanied by an adult)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our previous pricing structure ($40 adult \/ $15 youth) was intentionally kept low to make the program widely accessible. However, these rates no longer adequately cover the expenses involved in providing high-quality instruction and maintaining the standards of the program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This updated pricing is much closer to current industry standards for professional tracking education and certification-based instruction. We remain committed to keeping the workshops as financially accessible as possible while also honoring the skill, experience, and professional qualifications of certified trackers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Phil is a senior tracker with CyberTracker and a qualified Track & Sign Evaluator. Phil is one of 14 Senior Trackers and Track and Sign Evaluators in North America.  As part of an internationally recognized certification system, we believe it is important not to undervalue or undercut the expertise and standards established by certified tracking professionals worldwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
