Help Us Restore Thompson Meadow

Healthy meadows mean healthy rivers — and healthy rivers mean clean water, thriving wildlife, and resilient land for generations to come. Join our Modesto team at Thompson Meadow for a hands-on restoration day with your Central Valley community.

Together, we’ll plant native seedlings, collect seeds, and remove invasive species to help this meadow flourish again. Whether you’re a seasoned steward or picking up a shovel for the first time, there’s meaningful work waiting for you here.

What to expect

Together, we’ll plant native seedlings, collect seeds, and remove invasive species to help this meadow flourish again. Yosemite Rivers staff will guide all work — no experience needed. Just bring your energy and a willingness to dig in.

What to bring

  • Long sleeves and layered clothing

  • Plenty of water and a packed lunch

  • Sunglasses and a hat

  • Closed-toe shoes you don’t mind getting dirty or wet
